Raymond J. Lucchesi, RA, LEED AP

Ray is a Principal at Regenesis, and the Founder and Principal of RenovusCollaborative, whose purpose is to collaborate with people, organizations, and communities through integrated planning and design processes resulting in transformative outcomes that increase the value of human and ecological systems.

Ray’s 35 years of experience in the built environment focuses on regenerative design and development, sustainable and integrated design, and biomimicry. He graduated from Arizona State University, with an emphasis in arid-region ecosystems and passive-design. Ray built upon his education and practice experience by integrating living system and ecological design principles into his work. In addition, Ray has integrated the built, social and natural environments into a coherent and holistic practice model that delivers value-adding outcomes to the world.

Prior to founding RenovusCollaborative and becoming a Principal at Regenesis, Ray founded Lucchesi Galati in 1982, and led its development and held the spiritual vision for the firm. He was principal-in-charge on many of the firm’s most important projects. Ray has been involved in several projects obtaining LEED Certification, including the Las Vegas Springs Preserve and Desert Living Center and Garden, which received seven LEED Platinum Certifications. In parallel to practicing architecture, Ray planned and led the development of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Architecture, was the Founding Director, and has taught and been on the faculty of the School for 30 years.
